VITANIUM Managed Spam Detection
- The Process
VITANIUM identifies 'Spam'
at the Internet level eliminating the need for software packages
on local servers or PC's. This reduces system overhead and
the requirement for multiple software copies, their maintenance,
expense and administration.
How the process works
By analysing header and text content, VITANIUM attempts
to identify spammers tricks through local rule based heuristic
tests and Bayesian learning. In addition, VITANIUM uses
many recognised RBL lists as well as a collaborative spam-tracking
databases and Distributed Checksum Clearinghouses.
Further to the local and remote network
tests, VITANIUM will analyse client based domain specific
custom black and whitelists to finally determine whether a
mail should be tagged as Spam. By providing black and whitelists,
VITANIUM enables its user to almost entirely eliminate unwanted
commercial e-mail's and ensure mail that delivered is specific
to the efficient running of the business.
VITANIUM provides two options once
an email is tagged as Spam, it can either deliver to the intended
recipient for local filtering, or place it in quarantine for
later review and management via the VITANIUM Control Panel.
All quarantined Spam is deleted after 30 days.
